Lights in Nathan Strong Park
Holiday Parade and Light the Parks Nov 16th, 2023
ABC is again asking the community to nominate a person or couple for the Grand Marshall of the 38th annual Holiday Parade. The theme this year is A Christmas
Melody. We will have 2 categories. Commercial and Non-Commercial with cash prizes.
We are cutting 180 trees on October 17th and staking them in Nathan Strong Park on Saturday October 21st. Asking for help. Last year we had over 40 people show up. We usually are done by noon and the trees can be tagged in the afternoon. They should be decorated by Nov 13th.
This year we are having 2 large community trees that can be decorated by people of our community. Anyone can bring an ornament or two and place them on the
trees. The ABC Group will supply the lights. We will also have a very large
Christmas wreath where people and their families can take their picture.
Festivities start at 4:00 with Santa & Mrs. Claus, live reindeer, free horse-drawn carriage rides, and Vicky’s Lunch Wagon. At 5:00 we will flip the switch and the park will light up. At 6:00 Santa & Mrs. Claus will leave for the parade.
Line-up for the parade starts at 5:00. Judging the floats starts at 5:20. Parade starts at 6:30.
