The patrol division provides police service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Administrative services, including open records requests, etc. are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Officers assigned to the patrol division have voice-mail boxes. Upon reaching the automated system, use the extension number to leave a message for a specific officer.

Municipal Court

Municipal court is scheduled every second Wednesday of the month unless notified.

Adult court is scheduled for 2:00 pm and Juvenile court at 3:00 pm

Municipal court is HELD at Berlin City Hall, 108 N. Capron St., Berlin, WI / 2nd Floor Council chambers.

Services Offered

  • Fingerprinting during normal business hours of 7:30 to 4:30 if an officer is available. The current fee is $10.00 for a City of Berlin resident and $20.00 for a non-resident.
  • Paper Service: $31.00 for the first two attempts and $30.00 per attempt thereafter.

Winter Parking

Sec. 70-458 / Winter Parking for the City of Berlin
Effective NOVEMBER 30 to MARCH 30

(a)      Seasonal parking restrictions. Alternate side parking is required when parking upon any street in the city between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. from November 30—March 30, except as provided in subsection (b) of this section. Vehicles must be parked on the side of the street with even house numbers on even dates and odd house numbers on odd dates.

(b)      Exceptions.

(1)   Upon application to the police department, a temporary parking permit, valid for up to 72 hours, shall be issued to any person for just cause, and shall be valid for a specified location only.

(c)      Notice of winter overnight parking restrictions. Signs shall be posted on all highways at the entrance to the city which shall state: “Winter Overnight Parking Restricted. Alternate side parking is required from November 30 – March 30 from 2:00a.m. to 7:00a.m..”

Parking Ticket Information

  • Most unpaid parking violations will be re-issued as a Uniform Traffic Citation if unpaid after 13 days
  • ALL parking violations not paid within 5 days will DOUBLE
  • Tickets can be paid via mail, online, or placed in the Parking ticket payment box located in between the doors at City Hall (avail 24 hrs)

Berlin Police Department is now accepting online payments for the following items:

Parking Ticket – Parking Ticket Number required Parking ticket payments will NOT exceed $40.00. If you have a citation that is greater please contact Lakeside Municipal Court for payment.

Drug Take Back

A Drug Box for unused or unwanted medication(s) can be located in City Hall.

All medications can be brought in for disposal during normal business hours of 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday. NO SHARPS will be accepted.

All medications should be emptied from their container into a ziplock bag for disposal.

All liquids/creams can remain in their container and placed into a ziplock bag for disposal.
