Find the Soldiers Contest
and you could win 1 of 3 prizes.

Achieving a Better Community, Inc., and Local Merchants throughout the whole city, welcome you to join the fun for another new event this year in 2020.  Visit your local merchants and while you are there, look around to find nutcracker soldiers with names and numbers.   You could be a winner!

Contest starts November 9th and ends Nov 28th after the Elf Extravaganza event. Print out a pdf contest form (BUTTON BELOW) or Facebook AchievingaBetterCommunity-ABC Group or the pick one up at the Berlin Public Library.

It will be fun! Just bring your contest form with the names of the 20 nutcracker soldiers that are standing guard in some of our local stores. While you are shopping, keep an eye out for the soldiers. You never know where they could be. When you see one, find its name on the list and tell us the name of the store where you found it. Leave it there so others can play. When you have found all 20, drop your completed form in the mail slot at 104 E. Huron St. Complete correct entries will be put in a drawing for 1 of 3 prizes on November 29th.

Are you the Clark Griswold of your neighborhood? Have you always wanted to go all-out on decorating your house but just need that little extra push? If so, you’re in luck. New this year in Berlin: Deck Your Halls! – a house decorating contest for the holiday season!
To participate, you will be asked to have your house decorated and lit every night from 5 pm to 9 pm from December 6th to December 20th. A map will be posted on this page with all the houses that registered. The general public will then have those two weeks to spend time driving around our town, taking in all the holiday cheer. An electronic form will then be available for them to vote for their favorite upon completing the trip. The winning house will receive $150 in cash! Second will get $75 and third will walk away with $25. And by the way, participation as a house is completely free (other than your electric bill…)!
Want your house entered to win big bucks while spreading holiday cheer? If so, please complete this form.
